Develop a brand identity for a restaurant named after our hometown’s original “Renaissance Man,” Eugene Walter? Sign us up.
Walter was a screenwriter, poet, short story writer, actor, puppeteer, chef, translator, editor, playwright, cookbook author, novelist, costume designer, and raconteur. Essentially, a well traveled man of many talents, full of stories and experiences, which helped to form his already larger than life personality.
Eugene claimed to have carried two items wherever he traveled. The first was a box of Alabama red clay and the second was a stuffed Monkey named Coco. Thus was born the name for one of downtown Mobile’s newest restaurant and bars — Eugene’s Monkey Bar.
