Daiko joined Hummingbird as an intern in January of 2014. His skills, so masterful in nature, secured him a full-time position on the agency’s starting lineup following his graduation from The University of South Alabama that same year.
Born in Osaka, Japan, Daiko views himself as “Japzilian,” or a Japanese-Brazilian. Either way, he considers himself more than qualified to rate Cup Noodles (Ramen) and normal things turned into tiny things.
As a designer, Daiko works on projects for Hummingbird clients, such as The Hangout Music & Arts Festival, the Foo Foo Festival, Barnhart Crane & Rigging and Brett-Robinson Vacation Rentals. He is an amazing illustrator, and loves to do so both at work and at home. Daiko’s other passion is video games; of which is he ranked in the top three percent out of millions of players on the game “Destiny.” Naturally, playing at such a high level, he regularly receives offers for sponsorship from nearly zero companies. Daiko and his wife Miyuki, reside in Mobile, Ala., with their pup Bacon, who loves the product as much as his name.
